Recently, the Presidential Advisor on Ghetto affairs Mark Bugembe aka Buchaman was detained after his gang disrupted a National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) meeting which was being held in Makindye, a Kampala city suburb.
Following his arrest and torture by police, the Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has asked his former comrade Buchaman to cross lines and join the People Power movement which Bobi heads.
He said that Buchaman might be used by the government to achieve its goal and later dumped. While addressing the press, he says that People Power members are willing to welcome
Buchaman before its too late for him.
“Jajja Buchaman please come and join us in people power. We already knew that the NRM government will use you and after achieving its goal. Its going to dump you. Imagine the way you were arrested. We welcome you home before its too late for you” Bobi Wine said.
When Buchaman was released from prison, he had a bandage on his stomach. Meaning that he got
bruised on the scuffle that happened the day he was arrested. It should be recalled that Buchaman was appointed last year in October as the President’s advisor on Ghetto affairs at Kibuye in Makindye and Catherine Kusasira as the President’s advisor on Kampala matters the same day.
