The body uniting Ugandan musicians called Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) is set to launch new regional offices across the country. This will keep the group afloat from other mediocre ones that come up to ‘unite’ artistes with baseless agendas.
The regions will be in the Northern, Eastern, Western and Eastern Uganda respectively and will be in
operation by the end of the year. The association secured 60 million Ugandan shillings and more in operations as revealed by the UMA president, the dancehall king herself Cindy Sanyu.
“This is a testimony that the government is ready to work with UMA. It’s the only association fully
respected and known by the government. With 60M, the association will fully open up it’s regional
offices” stated UMA president Cindy.
Early this week, Uganda Cultural Forum deposited money to the accounts of different Saccos and
associations of artistes. That is why UMA is setting up offices so that it is caught aware and ready. On the same note, Cindy is confirmed to be pregnant and as she does her UMA presidency roles, she is carrying a germinating seed in her womb.
