You have heard it being said that our grandparents lives much longer than us. However, have you even wondered why that is so, why our younger generation doesn’t seem to live to the life expectancy.
Worry no more as today we present you with some facts and explanations as to why our grandparents seemed to have lived much longer than we do today.
One key reason is the times at which we choose to have our meals, unlike our grandparents, our meal in-take has been distorted and because of this, our bodies do not get to digest the food hence complications.
Initially, we had breakfast at around 10 am while dinner was preserved for around 6 pm in the evening. These days, we tend to eat late in the night which is not a good practice because right after, we usually go to bed.
It is important for us to embrace this habit because it grants a good 16 hours between your last meal in a day and your next meal, the next day. This is considered as an intermittent fast.
This time is important because your body gets to digest the food you have heard for dinner, absorbs all the nutrients from it and by the time you are having your next meal, it is ready to digest something else.
It also gives your body time to focus on other things rather than digesting food majority of the time. It gives your body time to heal and recover from whatever it is that you have gone through during the course of the day.
Hope you will live long like our grandparents lived.
